As we wrap up the XRPL SEA Hackathon 2024, we’re filled with pride, inspiration, and excitement for what’s to come. This multi-stop journey across Southeast Asia brought together some of the region’s most promising developers, entrepreneurs, and blockchain innovators — and it all culminated in a vibrant Demo Day in Bangkok on November 11th.

But before we get to that, let’s rewind to one of our most crucial milestones:

the Second Office Hours — our 4th stop on the road to Demo Day.

Stop #4: Second Office Hours — Laying the Foundation for Success

Held in the lead-up to the Demo Day, the Second Office Hours session was designed to give participating teams hands-on support, technical guidance, and project readiness coaching. With the hackathon heating up and submission deadlines approaching, this was the moment where many ideas began transforming into tangible MVPs.

Here’s what we covered:

• Deep Dive into the XRP Ledger (XRPL)

  Participants explored the XRPL’s key features, architecture, and tooling ecosystem — from issuing custom tokens and managing smart contracts to integrating with wallets and APIs.

• Overview of the XRPL Grants Program

  Builders received guidance on how to access funding opportunities through the XRP Grants program, including insights into what makes a strong, fundable application.

• Team Introductions and Technical Debugging

  Several project teams presented early-stage prototypes and discussed pain points with technical mentors. These real-time feedback loops proved critical in refining both the technical and user-experience layers of each build.

Grand Finale: XRPL SEA Hackathon Demo Day – Bangkok

After weeks of ideation, iteration, and collaboration across Vietnam, Indonesia, and now Thailand, Demo Day in Bangkok marked the climactic moment of the XRPL SEA Hackathon 2024.

And it did not disappoint.

The top teams took the stage to present their XRPL-powered projects in front of a panel of judges, mentors, and industry leaders. What followed was a showcase of technical ingenuity, creative storytelling, and high-impact ideas aimed at solving real-world problems using blockchain infrastructure.

Highlights from Demo Day:

• Diverse project categories included DeFi dashboards, cross-border finance apps, regenerative finance (ReFi), identity solutions, and creative use cases for NFTs and tokenization.

• Teams showcased polished MVPs, well-researched user journeys, and clear go-to-market strategies — reflecting the maturity and evolution of their work throughout the hackathon.

• Networking sessions brought together developers, investors, and XRPL ecosystem leaders to explore collaboration and support beyond the event.
