10 Years of Ethereum: Hanoi Celebrates a Decade of Decentralized Dreams

On July 30, 2025, in the heart of Hanoi, something special happened. It wasn’t a pitch competition. It wasn’t a keynote showcase. It wasn’t about hype.

 

It was about heart.

 

To honor the 10th anniversary of Ethereum’s genesis block, APAC DAO, ETHVietnam, and Kyber Network co-hosted a unique, intimate gathering of builders, dreamers, stewards, and believers of the Ethereum movement in Vietnam.

 

A Celebration Rooted in Community

Set against the backdrop of GM Vietnam — one of the largest digital asset events in the region — the Ethereum 10-Year Anniversary Meetup was a moment of pause, reflection, and reconnection. Nearly 200 community members packed the venue to share stories, celebrate how far we’ve come, and imagine the road ahead.

 

There was no stage.

 

There were no microphones.

 

Only people. Ideas. Conversations.

The Vibes Were Real: Here’s What Went Down

 

7:00 PM – 7:45 PM: Arrival & Check-in

Guests began pouring in, greeted by a cozy setup, warm light, and the signature minimalist aesthetic of Ethereum’s ethos — open, accessible, and inclusive. Light bites and drinks fueled the conversations from the moment the doors opened.

7:45 PM – 9:15 PM: Open Reflections, Trivia, & Real Talk

The core of the evening was intentionally informal. Attendees gathered in groups to share what Ethereum meant to them — as developers, investors, artists, or curious minds. Highlights included:

• Ethereum Trivia covering 10 years of evolution: from the DAO hack to the Merge.

• Open mic moments, where attendees shared their Ethereum origin stories and what the future of coordination looks like.

• Meaningful conversations sparked by questions like:

  What is value in Web3?

  How has Ethereum changed your life?

  What do we want the next 10 years to look like?

 

9:15 PM – 10:00 PM: Livestream from Global Ethereum Celebrations

We joined the global Ethereum livestream together, listening in as builders across the world marked the moment with reflections of their own. Many guests took notes, engaged in real-time discussions, and added their voices to the global chorus.

 

10:00 PM – 10:15 PM: Group Photo & Closing Cheers

We ended the night with a group photo under the official Ethereum 10-Year Anniversary banner — a symbolic snapshot of Vietnam’s ever-growing Ethereum ecosystem.
